If you are renting a property, we suggest you always check your rental agreement and secure your landlord’s permission if required.
You need to ensure your home insurance policy covers accommodating short-term guests within your home.
You may need some additional licensing from local govt. as country to country it’s varies.

You simply register your details with us by clicking on sign up as a host on feriejo.com. You can sign in with existing Gmail, Twitter & facebook account login details. Once you login, you will see your own dashboard to complete your host profile with information about you and your home, including some photos which potential guests can view on the site when choosing a homestay to book.

> What are the tax implications of renting a room?
In terms of your own tax situation, you are responsible for managing your own tax affairs as country to country tax liabilities are different.
We are unable to give tax advice, but would advise that every host should ensure they are managing their own tax affairs effectively to reduce any tax liability they may have.
We would encourage hosts to try to understand their own personal position with regards to tax.
In some circumstances hosts can earn an amount before tax when renting a room or they can avail of a specific tax break scheme, when renting their spare room, such as a ‘rent a room scheme’.
Also please be aware as part of regulatory compliance, Feriejo may be obligated by law to share details with authorities with regards to sellers listed and transactions processed through the platform.
> What is the best set up to operate feriejo.com?
Good internet connection is important for using the site. Try to ensure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal. You could try a ‘wired’ connection by plugging your computer directly into the router.

> Shall it possible to visit desired property before booking ?
Yes. You have all contact details of host/property owners to communicate for the purpose of pre-booking.
If you are near about the property and possible to go and want to visit in person then you can request to host for visit. If they allow to come & visit then it is very much useful to take any booking decision as guest.
Before going in person, we recommend that first you can ask to show entire property on online video call. You can use whatsapp video calling service or any other preferred video calling service which mutually agreed.
Apart we do not recommend pre-booking visit in single person for the safety reason.

Please note, feriejo.com do not visit or verify in person any properties listed on the our website.
We ask that hosts confirm and verify their email addresses and phone numbers during the signup process. We review every profile in detail inline with our own internal review process, before allowing the listing to go live and appear on the website. For the purpose we may ask to host to upload their Identity proof documents to their listing dashboard.
> How do I make a booking?
As guest you can book the property both the ways.
On-line as well as Off-line mode.
Host have an option to keep instant booking or get only booking message from guest.
Once you decide & choose specific property with check-in, check-out date, no. of persons etc. then either you will see booking option in form of Instant booking or Book now option.
Instant booking means you need to pay 100% advance booking fee to us. If you pay to us then your reservation will be confirmed instantly.
Book now means you will send message to host for reservation request for your specific period. Host will receive this request and then host will send you an Invoice for booking fees contain all booking info. There you will find payment option for online pay. Once you pay then your booking will confirm and you will get confirmation email. You can see your booking in your dashboard.
Even you can contact host directly to their contact details i.e. Phone, whatsapp, email etc. for further booking process. You can pay booking fees directly to host from your end to confirm booking on both of your mutually decided terms. In this off-line booking process our role & responsibility is nil.
> How long does the booking process take?
Instant booking is the 100% confirmation of your stay once you paid booking fees to us online. Host most of all can not cancel this reservation without any justified reason.
If guest communicate to host via Book now option then it may take some time to get response from host. This booking process involve various stages i.e. communication to host, decide payment terms, Guest negotiation, Issue invoice, making invoice payment to us online or payment to guest directly then guest send confirmation of booking upon realize the actual payment to guest.
Even though some significance risk are involved in Off-line booking process. (Payment direct to Host)
> How do I cancel a booking?
Once your booking is confirmed then you have an option for cancel booking as per host cancellation policy. Please read cancellation policy terms in Property details column then you proceed for cancellation.
In your dashboard there is My reservation section there you will see all your confirmed booking. There you can see an option for cancel booking.
Once your reservation gets cancelled then you will get refund to your origin account as per cancellation policy terms.
> Why didn't I receive any text or email notification?
- Check your notifications settings as notifications from feriejo.com could be opted out in your account.
- Make sure that you entered your correct e-mail address and your correct phone number. If you have changed your phone number or your e-mail address, please let us know at support@feriejo.com and we will change your email address and/or your phone number.
- Check your spam folder. If you find any messages from feriejo.com in your spam folder, remove them from your spam listing and add support@feriejo.com to your email’s personal contacts.
To check your notification settings:
- Click on your profile in your dashboard at the right top of the page
- You can check all your personal details entry.
- Check your Email section and make sure that the correct email id you have provided where you want to get all notifications.
> How is the currency exchange rate calculated?
Guest have an option to choose preferred currency while browsing our listed properties rate. More than hundred of country currencies can choose in dropdown section in footer column. Rates are instantly change in real-time.
Our prices are currency converted based on exchange rates from third party https://openexchangerates.org and are subject to normal currency fluctuations.
> How the language works?
Guest have an option to choose & translate our whole website in their preferred language. You can choose in dropdown section in footer in Change your language column. More than ninety worldwide languages you can choose to translate text.
We have used third party Google language translated service.
> How does feriejo.com address trust and safety?
The safety of our hosts and guests is our number one priority. Please note, feriejo.com do not visit or verify in person any properties listed on the feriejo.com website.
We ask that hosts confirm their email addresses and phone numbers during the signup process which we also send for verification. We review every profile in detail before allowing the listing to appear on the website.
All contact details of host/property owners are open and guest can see those in property details section of each property before making any bookings.
We do not offer or recommend direct booking to host but it depends upon guest decision if they wish to book directly with host then they can, with our zero liability & responsibility.
